Final Design

The original swing arm type of damper system could effectively dampen out vibrations, however it had a few problems that would make it too hard to implement.  The main drawback to this design is the fact that it had many moving parts.  The original design also had to be mounted in multiple locations on the fuselage.  Another drawback to the first design was interference issues once it was mounted on the engine.  There is little room to place parts around the engine and once the engine starts to move pieces that had clearance at rest may interfere once in motion.  The final design remedies the above problems and solves other new problems.  The final design places the shocks directly in contact with the engine and can react to both the vertical and rotational movements of the engine.
